Copper Concentrate
Copper Concentrate is a product of copper ore enrichment. Copper ore is extracted from the earth and then converted into Copper Concentrate by separating mostly the sulfide metal with processes of Crushing, Grinding and Flotation where unwanted material, like gangue, sinks to the bottom and is removed. This improved concentrate normally has 20 to 40% of copper content. The remainder consists mostly of sulfur and iron.
Physical Properties
Particle size | The 80% passing size of fresh Copper Concentrate is expected to be 30µm based on pilot plant results (ranging from 15 to 50 µm). The Copper Concentrate is expected to age and oxidize during storage thus forming agglomerates and lumps. |
